Shortleg (b. 1997, Bangkok TH)
Shortleg (b. 1997) is a Thai artist based in Bangkok, Thailand. Her bond with small living creatures began in childhood with a beloved doll, her constant companion since age eight. This deep connection never faded. Throughout her life, her affection for small animals remained a core part of her identity.
In 2019, she welcomed her first hamster into her life. She was instantly fascinated by its behavior, daily routines, and gentle expressions of affection. Inspired by these quiet moments, she began documenting them through paintings and personal diary entries in her own unique style.
Her resulting artworks are far more than just illustrations. They offer a window into the charm, relationships, and stories shared with her tiny companions. From this intimate journey, the character “Koopy” and his friends were born. They stand as visual symbols of the memories, experiences, and emotions she lovingly brings to life.
