About Cas Beijers (Maastricht, b. 1995)
Cas Beijers (Maastricht, 1995) works and lives in Maastricht. He graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Beijers’ work is almost always a combination of aesthetics and humor. Frequently used mediums for his work are: photography, film-stills, color theory and text.
Since the rise of AI, Cas Beijers, unlike many artists, is a lover of the power that Artificial Intelligence can mean for the images he wants to use.

In May 2025 Cas Beijers’ debut show at Kalkman Gallery “Finally Time To Do The Laundry” shows a collection of artificially enhanced imagery mixed with painting.
Cas Beijers – Everything But A Cab, 16.10.2026 – 01.11.2026
Everything But A Cab will be the 2nd solo exhibition by Cas Beijers at Kalkman Gallery since his successful debut in May 2025. In Everything But A Cab, Cas Beijers has worked on a collection of 10 AI-manipulated photographs, printed on canvas and presented as diptychs in hand-made frames. He has not only manipulated the photographs digitally but also used them to paint on.
Cas Beijers uses “Yellow-Cab” yellow to hide or highlight parts of the photography. Cas Beijers embraces AI by merging his own photography with copyright-free photography from film. As endless as this medium can feel, he has confined and made them to his own practise by painting over them and also limiting the artworks to an edition of 1/1 + 1 Artist Proof.
